Student Transitions – following consultation and committee approval, the QMU Student Transitions and Induction framework is now available to use. It gives you a checklist of how you might want to support transitions at three stages (pre-entry, induction and longitudinal induction) and three elements of the student experience (orientation, social integration and preparation for learning). You’ll find the framework on the CAP resource site on the Hub.
So much good work is going on across the sector in supporting student transitions, as well as at QMU. See, for example, the Flying Start programme at the University of Huddersfield: https://www.officeforstudents.org.uk/news-blog-and-events/news-and-blog/a-flying-start-to-university-study/
CAP Good Practice Resources – Following the website refresh, we have removed the CAP Good Practice web page, and replaced it with new resources on the CAP Hub resource site.
Evidence for Enhancement – the new Enhancement Theme is now well under way. Keep your eye on developments on the Theme website. QMU’s institutional team are busy scoping what data we use to enhance the student experience and how well we use it. Contact Roni Bamber (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you would like to get involved.
