Coming soon to a Hub module near you…

Since February 2018, the Centre for Academic Practice has been working alongside tutors piloting a simple to use, integrated web conferencing tool that is embedded within your Hub module area, known as Blackboard Collaborate.

A real-time online learning session is an internet-based live event where learners and tutors can participate in presentations, video discussions, live chat, breakout groups and polling.

The pilot has helped to inform best practice for tutors, support requirements and directly shape Blackboards future product development of Collaborate.

The end of August will be a leap for online learning at QMU as Blackboard Collaborate becomes available for every tutor in each module to opt-in to. Collaborate will help you to reach your learners off-campus, facilitate peer discussions or invite guest speakers from anywhere in the world.

In order to help tutors be prepared, the Centre for Academic Practice will be releasing a series of subsequent blog posts to complement the Introduction to Collaborate webinars running frequently over the summer. So if you are intrigued and wish to find out more you can register for a webinar below.
