The Effective Learning Service coordinated the Resit Support Programme between 25th June – 6th July 2018. The aim of the programme was to support, motivate and raise the confidence of students resitting exams or resubmitting essays in the summer period. Forty students engaged with the programme, and were given the opportunity to work with a study tutor, and attend classes on Data Analysis, workshops on study skills and yoga/wellbeing sessions.
The support offered was appreciated by the students, with all evaluation respondents who attended the relevant sessions judging them to be useful. The individual sessions with the study tutors were particularly well received, with students mentioning guidance and support as the key aspects which made this feature of the programme particularly valuable.
